(FEB 2011) LOOMIS SWEDEN HAS IMPLEMENTED Transvision Route Planner in order to optimise their routes for the collection and distribution of cash and to bring down CO2 emissions from the transport.

Loomis Sweden is Sweden’s leading cash handling company and part of the international Loomis Group, which operates divisions all over Europe and the USA. In Sweden, the company uses approximately 230 vehicles for refilling ATMs, distributing and collecting money to and from retail outlets, and transporting cash boxes for banks.

The distribution and collection routes are mainly based on master route planning, as customers are visited on specific days and at agreed times. However, ad hoc orders need to be inserted into the master plan at short notice, for instance when an ATM has run dry unexpectedly and needs refilling.

Loomis will use the system for inserting ad hoc orders and new customers into the master routes on a daily basis, for making simulations prior to submitting proposals for new retail chains, for re-optimising the master routes from time to time, and finally for carrying out what-if simulation in order to optimise the depot and district structure.

Transvision is looking forward to a long and successful working relationship with Loomis Sweden.
